Public Transportation in Prague:

Prague's public transportation is well organised linking the whole city.

Travelling by underground in Prague is fast and relatively comfortable.
There are three underground lines - green line A, yellow line B and red line C.
You will find an underground map in each carriage.

There are bus and tram connections almost from all underground stations.
Underground trains operate until midnight, the last train leaves its terminal station always before midnight and the first train is at 5 am. After midnight there are night buses running throughout the city.

The fare is the same for underground, bus and tram within Prague's municipal transport.

(allows for unlimited travel, including transfers, on all forms of municipal transport for 90 minutes)

Prices are restricted by the Prague City Council, max. prices are 25 CZK per 1km + 34CZK starting charge + 5CZK per 1minute of waiting

Telephone services

You can find telephone box at nearly every corner. You can either use coins or buy prepaid phone card ( for 200 or 300CZK). Local calls cost about 4 CZK a minute, long-distance calls 8 CZK a minute. Off peak calls (7pm-7am) are cheaper.

There are three main mobile operators in the Czech Republic: O2,T-Mobile and Vodafone.

If you want to use mobile phone more often, it will be a good idea to get a Czech SIM card.
All operators offer a wide variety of tariffs on prepaid cards.

Within the Czech Republic you do not need to use the country code, just dial the nine figures.
Prague phone numbers always start with number 2.
